PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an operator from performing unnecessary exposure to a photoreceptor which is not required to write an image.
SOLUTION: An optical scanner 10 divides two laser beams from laser diode (LD) 1, 1', respectively, and makes four laser beams by a half mirror prism 5 which divides the laser beam; makes two laser beams rectilinearly passing through the half mirror prism 5 incident to a corresponding photoreceptor 41K and two laser beams reflected by the half mirror prism 5 incident to a corresponding photoreceptor 41C respectively at different timing; scans each of the photoreceptors 41K, 41C on the basis of image data such that the periods when the photoreceptors are scanned are not overlapped with each other; and writes images to the photoreceptors 41K, 41C. As for the photoreceptor 41C which is not required to write an image, control is performed in such a manner that the LD 1, 1' are not turned on at the timing when the two reflected laser beams corresponding to the photoreceptor 41C scans the photoreceptor 41C.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
