FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to timber industry and may be used in production of sawn products. Annular defect shape and parameters are defined. Tiber is locked to divide it into sectors in longitudinal direction. Said sectors are divided in parts, dried, processed and bound together. Sections of annular defects are dressed in parallel planes along boundaries of affected layer parallel with tangent at the point of intersection of affected layer generatrix and timber sector angle bisector. Unaffected sections of peripheral segment and parts of trapezoidal profile in cross-section located between parts with affected layers are dressed parallel with and/or perpendicular to planes of parts with affected layer.EFFECT: higher yield of finished products.2 cl, 5 dwg
