PURPOSE: A method for calculating fuel rod molten mass in a nuclear fuel assembly of a horizontal channel type reactor for using a filtering method is provided to accurately analyze an influence of a partially leaked radioactive substance on people by accurately measuring a melt amount. CONSTITUTION: The temperature of a cladding tube is compared with a preset temperature value for melting a cladding tube. Damaged time of the cladding tube is determined if the cladding tube temperature is over the cladding tube melting temperature. A total cladding tube melt mass of an outer ring is calculated. A center cladding tube melt mass is calculated. The calculated melt masses of the outer ring, an inner ring, a middle ring, and the cladding tube in a center are totaled. |
