<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceric oxide colloidal particle of good light resistance by coating the ceric oxide colloidal particle with a silica composite colloidal particle of silica/stannic oxide or silica/antimony pentoxide. <P>SOLUTION: This modified ceric oxide colloidal particle (C) includes as its core a ceric oxide colloidal particle (A) having a primary particle diameter of 4-60 nm and its surface is coated with a silica composite colloidal particle (B) of silica/stannic oxide or silica/antimony pentoxide having a primary particle diameter of 1-3 nm and bonded with an amine compound of M/(silica+stannic oxide) or M/(silica+antimony pentoxide), wherein M is an amine compound, at a molar ratio of 0.001-0.08 with silica/stannic oxide or silica/antimony pentoxide with a mass ratio of 0.1-10. In the modified ceric oxide colloidal particle (C), the mass ratio (A)/(B) of ceric oxide colloidal particle (A) to silica composite colloidal particle (B) is 1-50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
