METHOD OF OPTICAL MEASUREMENT OF SURFACE TEMPERATURE OF CONTINUOUSLY CAST INGOTS

A method of optical measurement of surface temperature of continuously cast ingots includes installation of an optical meter with a charge-coupled device (CCD) by matrix in the ingot exit area of secondary cooling zone of a continuous casting machine of ingots so that an aligning normal is perpendicular to the ingot surface. As a temperature measuring device a device is used equipped with a high resolution color CCD-matrix. Determining the temperature is carried out on the basis of a complex value of response of CCD-matrix by a formula.
