The method involves observing a predetermined work area (10) in a manufacturing facility by a three-dimensional image capture device, which is designed as a depth imaging camera (24). A signal associated with a predetermined event is generated during occurrence of the event in the work area, where the signal is a warning and/or switching-off signal, which is provided to a worker (12). A removal position and/or installation position are displayed as the signal in a display device for the worker. The predetermined event is selected from a group comprising of incorrect removal and/or incorrect mounting of a component, predetermined gesture of the worker, initiation of a working step, and intrusion of an object such as machines and robot, and/or the worker in a safety area or hazardous region. An independent claim is also included for a monitoring arrangement for a working area of a manufacturing facility.
