<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of short-cut of a reaction fluid by employing a structure which can be manufactured easily and is simple as compared with conventional arts. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell includes: a membrane electrode assembly including a solid polymer electrolyte membrane on each of both faces of which a catalyst electrode layer is formed; a diffusion layer arranged on each of both faces of the membrane electrode assembly; and separators holding the membrane electrode assembly and the diffusion layers. In the fuel cell, a reaction fluid passage is provided at least between one separator and one diffusion layer, and at least a part of a rib constituting a wall surface of the reaction fluid passage comprises a water repellent member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
