The method involves transferring an air filter (12) from an original location of a standard vehicle to a mounting location by changing the course of an intake port, where the filter is connected with a motor via the intake port. A suction passage is transferred in such a manner that flow characteristic e.g. total length and curvatures, of the passage remains to maintain. The suction passage is divided into a set of individual parts in an original state and reassembled again using a connecting sleeve and a bracket. An independent claim is also included for a motor home.
