<p>PURPOSE: A fault current controlling device in an intelligent power net and a control method thereof are provided to immediately deal with fault current due to distributed generations and load changes by controlling the fault current to a precalculated value corresponding to a real time information of the power net. CONSTITUTION: A freewheeling circuit(120) is connected to superconducting coils(110) in a row. The freewheeling circuit comprises a diode(121) and a resistance(123) connected in series. Multiple thyristors(140) are respectively connected to the superconducting coils in series or in a row. A control unit(150) inputs a gate control signal to the thyristor.
