PURPOSE: A lamp control system with a security function based on a crime prevention design method and a method thereof are provided to control a lamp in response to movement of an object without a separate image analysis module. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of dimmer units(11) is installed in a lamp(10). The plurality of dimmer units controls the lamp corresponding to sensing information. The plurality of dimmer units controls the lamp corresponding to an external control signal. The plurality of dimmer units transmits the sensing information to an external remote place with a lamp ID. A lamp control unit(100) controls a remote lamp for the plurality of dimmer units. The lamp control unit determines whether or not a predetermined event is generated. The lamp control unit controls a lamp which is adjacent to the lamp with the plurality of dimmer units transmitting the sensing information. The lamp control unit directly controls a direction or resolution of an image unit and increases the quality of an obtained image.
