PURPOSE: An apparatus for fabricating an ingot is provided to prevent damage to a seed crystal by using a protection layer and to reduce process costs. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for fabricating an ingot includes a crucible(100) and a seed crystal holder(170). The crucible accommodates a raw material. The seed crystal holder fixes seed crystals arranged on the raw material. A bonding layer(164) is positioned between the seed crystal holder and a protection layer(162). The bonding layer affixes the seed crystal holder to a seed crystal. The protection layer touches the bonding layer.
