The present invention relates to an encoding method which generates a coding sequence by performing encoding at a certain coding rate on the basis of a prescribed parity check matrix. The prescribed parity check matrix is either a first parity check matrix corresponding to an LDPC (low-density parity-check) convolutional code utilizing multiple parity check polynomials, or, a second parity check matrix generated by performing column permutations and/or row permutations on the first parity check matrix. The parity check polynomial which satisfies the eth 0 in the LDPC convolutional code is represented by a specific expression. |
