PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of extending the storage time and improving the storage stability of fresh foods, i.e. fruits and vegetables.SOLUTION: Occurrence of diseases by bacteria and fungi can be avoided and the storage time of fruits and vegetables is extendable by applying a succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor, fluopyram, to crops before their harvest. A better effect can be achieved by using together with another fungus-cidal agent, trifloxystrobin. Crops are typically strawberry, tepary bean and lettuce. |
