PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-size air cellular buffer sheet which is transversely tearable straight with ease by hand without using a tool. SOLUTION: This sheet member is obtained by thermally fusion-bonding a cap film with numerous air cells formed on one side of a base-side film which is formed of a thermoplastic film transversely tearable with ease in the widthwise direction, or is laminated with a transversely tearable thermoplastic film. Consequently, the film is transversely torn straight with ease by hand from an optional edge spot and airtight and watertight because no torn hole created by the tearing line is present and as such is used wherever the use of this sheet is intended for.
