IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, SERVER, AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a variety of images with responsiveness and quality matching user requirements.

SOLUTION: Links are established for three pieces of hierarchical data 170, 172, 174 and one piece of video data 182. When display areas overlap a link area 176 while the piece of hierarchical data 170 is being used to display an image, a switch is made to a display that uses the zeroth hierarchy of the piece of hierarchical data 172 (link a). When display areas overlap a link area 178 while the piece of hierarchical data 172 is being used to display an image, a switch is made to a display that uses the zeroth hierarchy of the piece of hierarchical data 174 (link b). A link destination for a separate link area 180 of the piece of hierarchical data 170 is the video data 182 (link c), and if the area is magnified, video playback begins. Hierarchical data 170 and 172 are retained on a client terminal side, and a server transmits data that crosses over a switching boundary 184 to the client terminal in a data stream format.
