<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications device capable of communications compliant to the USB standards and an other standard with a single USB connector, and capable of effectively preventing device failures. <P>SOLUTION: A first signal processing unit 13 includes one or more first terminals 130 that input or output a USB signal compliant to the USB standards, and processes the USB signal. A second signal processing unit 14 includes one or more second terminals 140 that input or output a signal compliant to an other standard, and processes the signal compliant to the standard. A connection switching unit 11 switches each of pairs consisting of one of the one or more first terminals 130 and one of the one or more second terminals 140 into either the first terminal 130 or the second terminal 140, and connects the first or second terminal with a terminal of one or more terminals 100 at a USB connector 10 electrically.
