The present invention provides an electrically conductive member for a connection unit including a plurality of sockets, comprising an elongate strip of electrically conducting material comprising a plurality of protruding contacts disposed along its length, wherein the protruding contacts are arranged to be engageable with a respective one of the plurality of sockets. The invention also provides a connection unit comprising a plurality of such electrically conductive members. The connection unit is ideally suited for controlling electrical power in lighting systems, and is inherently scalable due to the modular connectivity of the connection units. The invention also provides a mounting bracket having a self-aligning function to facilitate ease of installation of a modular network of connection units.
