<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce exhaust emission immediately after recovery from a fuel cut by enriching an air-fuel ratio in just proportion in order to decrease an oxygen storage amount of an exhaust gas purification catalyst to a proper level immediately after the recovery. <P>SOLUTION: An oxygen storage amount OS2 during a fuel cut is calculated from an integrated value of an intake air amount during the fuel cut in order to set a rich shift amount RS according to the oxygen storage amount OS2. When resuming fuel injection, the air-fuel ratio is enriched in accordance with the rich shift amount RS, and also, the rich shift amount RS is changed to 0 at a rate ΔRS corresponding to the intake air amount Q. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
