A unified IP(Internet Protocol) packet collecting/analyzing device and a method thereof are provided to compare intrinsic bit signature patterns of payload of packets by collecting the packets so as to classify applications of the packets accurately, thereby increasing accuracy in packet analysis. A packet collector(310) collects and processes original packets in real time. An analyzer(330) distinguishes applications through signature matching of the processed packets, and decides on out-of-sequence of the packets. A flow generator(350) generates a flow by using the processed packets. A flow storage(340) stores information outputted from the analyzer(330), and outputs the generated flow together with the outputted information. |
