Method for detecting the position of stepping switches

<p>The method involves providing series resistance contacts (1-n) between the resistors (Rb). The series resistance contacts within the resistor string are contacted with tap changer. The current position of the tap changer is detected depending on the position of the contact terminal (K). The constant current (Ical) is directly applied on the root port of contact terminal. The current-carrying path is connected between contact terminal and grounding point (A) so as to detect image of the current position of the tap changer.</p>
