<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the change of a contact area of a tip part of a columnar spacer on a first substrate even though the first substrate and a second substrate are displaced in attachment in a liquid crystal display device in which liquid crystal is sealed in a space between substrates or an organic EL display device or other display devices having space between substrates. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate. The second substrate has a plurality of columnar spacers. The first substrate has a convex part in a region facing a tip part of the columnar spacer. The first substrate has a scan line, and the columnar spacers formed on the second substrate are not disposed at equal intervals in an extension direction of the scan line and/or not disposed on a straight line and are disposed randomly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
