The method involves determining a base scattering portion from radiation that is emitted on a radiation detector i.e. X-ray detector (6), where the radiation is produced by an X-ray source (4). A model calculation is made with an aid of the scattering radiation portion to form a model of an object to be examined. A scattering calculation is made with an aid of the formed model for determining expected proportion of the scattering radiation portion. The expected proportion of the scattering radiation portion is removed from the total radiation before concluding image processing. An independent claim is also included for an image forming device.
