The method involves sending electromagnetic radiation outside of the visible wavelengths and sampling a reflection of the emitted electromagnetic radiation. The environment (110) around a vehicle (105) is captured corresponding to the sensed radiation. The emitted radiation is modulated, such that the reflected radiation from the radiation of a source is distinguished. Another source is mounted on a board of another vehicle, where distinguishable modulations are mediated between the vehicles.
