<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preventing release of I<SB POS="POST">2</SB>during production and storage of a 1,3-diiodohydantoin compound to prevent the reduction in purity of the compound and overcome various disadvantages caused by I<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a process for producing the 1,3-diiodohydantoin compound comprising a step of preparing a wet material containing the 1,3-diiodohydantoin compound, and (1) a step of drying the wet material by contacting the wet material with heated gas or (2) a step of lyophilizing the wet material; a method for storage of the 1,3-diiodohydantoin compound comprising a step of storing the 1,3-diiodohydantoin compound under a temperature condition of 15°C or lower; and the 1,3-diiodohydantoin compound having a free I<SB POS="POST">2</SB>content of 1 mass% or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
