Disclosed are a method and system for implementing a self-service calling coloring ring back tone (CRBT) service. The method comprises: after a calling user calls a called user, a CRBT center establishes a connection with the calling user; the CRBT center sends a query message containing the number of the calling user to a billing subscription system according to a calling CRBT service request input by the calling user; the billing subscription system queries calling user information according to the number of the calling user, and sends the calling user information to the CRBT center; and the CRBT center plays the calling user information for the calling user. In the present invention, after the calling user calls the called user, the calling user can switch to listen to the calling CRBT by pressing a key, enabling the calling user to conveniently and quickly query the calling user information including user telephone fee information and subscription service information.
