The present invention relates to a device and method for checking an internet line. The device for checking an internet line connected between a user terminal and an internet network according to the present invention comprises: a first switch for switching a first internet line connected between the user terminals as a general path or as a first checking path; a second switch for switching a second internet line connected between the internet networks as said general path or as a second checking path; a LAN chip for communicating with said user terminal or with said internet network through said first checking path or said second checking path; and a control unit for switching said first switch and said second switch and checking whether or not said first internet line or said second internet line contains irregularities using said LAN chip. |
