Provided is a vehicle headlamp that can be downsized and is capable of forming a combined light distribution pattern with a brighter hot zone (for example, light distribution pattern for low beam). The vehicle headlamp forms a combined light distribution pattern comprising a hot zone and a diffusion zone where light diffuses more widely than in the hot zone. The vehicle headlamp is provided with: at least one first lighting fixture unit that includes a laser beam source and a first optical system for forming a first light distribution pattern for illuminating the hot zone by irradiating light from the laser beam source frontward; and at least one second lighting fixture unit that includes an LED light source and a second optical system for forming a second light distribution pattern for illuminating the diffusion zone by irradiating light from the LED light source frontward.
