摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode active material for a lithium ion secondary battery that enables the lithium ion secondary battery to have high capacity and to charge/discharge at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: A titanium oxyfluoride is obtained by heating a mixed material containing a mixture of an anatase type TiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>and hydrofluoric acid at 70&deg;C or more (a heating process). The mixed material contains hydrogen fluoride (HF) in an amount of more than 2 mol based on 1 mol of the anatase type TiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. Using the titanium oxyfluoride obtained by this manufacturing method for the negative electrode active material for the lithium ion secondary battery enables the lithium ion secondary battery having high capacity and capable of fast charging/discharging to be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
