The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for purifying waste oil by means of an automatic purification system for removing heavy metal impurities from contaminated oil using a precipitation purification technique and a carbon nanotube filter. The apparatus of the present invention for purifying discharged oil comprises: a first oil tank (T1) in which contaminated discharged oil is stored; a second oil tank (T2) and purification tanks (P1), (P2), and (P3), to which an automatic switch control device (AC), which pumps and raises contaminated discharged oil from the first oil tank (T1) by means of an oil pump, is attached; and an oil tank for recovering the purified oil (CO) that has sequentially passed through a no. 7 filter, a no. 8 filter, and a no. 9 filter by means of a pump, and through a hose connected to the purification tank (P3) and to a top level portion. The apparatus and method of the present invention implement a purification process for removing contaminant sources, such as impurities in the solid state and fine particles, without having to change discharged oil, thus enabling continuous processing and increased productivity, as well as cost competitiveness which is achieved by reducing the amount of discharged oil used. |
