摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by simplifying the structure of a shock absorbing member, and to reduce an initial load when the shock absorbing member deforms. <P>SOLUTION: This shock absorbing member 10 includes: a tubular member 20 arranged to receive a shock load from an axis direction and collapsing in the axial direction by receiving the shock load; first lumber 12 stored so that the axis directions of annual rings extend along the axis direction of the tubular member 20 and having strength against the shock load larger than that of the tubular member 20; a shock absorbing material 40 being a member having strength against the shock load smaller than that of the first lumber 12 in which the axis directions of the annual rings coincide with the shock load direction and stored in the tubular member 20 along with the first lumber 12; and a positioning means to position the first lumber 12 and the shock absorbing material 40 with respect to the tubular member 20 to form a space S throughout all circumferences between the outer surfaces of the first lumber 12 and the shock absorbing material 40 and the inner wall surfaces of the tubular member 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
