<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for secondary battery with high output characteristics and reliability, and a secondary battery using the negative electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode for the secondary battery incorporates a collector 14, and a negative electrode active material layer 13 formed on the collector. The collector has a surface roughness (Ra) of more than 2 μm and not more than 15 μm, while the negative electrode active material layer consists of (a) negative electrode active materials containing at least one kind of material selected from among groups comprising metals, semimetals, and these oxides which can store and release Li; and (b) the element X which never stores Li. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
