<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting device for a temporary scaffold, allowing operators to ascend/descend without anxiety and capable of improving working efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A lift device 10 applied as a lift device for a temporary scaffold is provided with a first ladder 11 and a second ladder 12 facing each other in parallel at an interval allowing one person to pass through (for example, 50 to 70 cm). In such a structure, the first ladder 11 which an operator ascends/descends and the other second ladder 12 behind the operator are prepared. Therefore, the operator may have a sense of security that the operator can instantly grasp a rung of the second ladder at the back or lean on the second ladder to prevent falling even if making a false step on the first ladder 11, and can ascend/descend the lift device 10 without hesitation.
