<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision avoidance control system that terminates collision avoidance control and immediately restores a normal running state when a vehicle has no potential to collide with an object any more even before the vehicle completely stops during collision avoidance control. <P>SOLUTION: The collision avoidance control system determines whether or not a relative speed between a vehicle and a moving object exceeds a threshold not less than zero, during collision avoidance control. When the relative speed is less than the predetermined threshold, collision avoidance control is continuously executed, and the collision avoidance control is terminated when the relative speed is not less than the threshold value, that is, when the running speed of the vehicle is lower than that of the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
