PURPOSE: A therapeutic agent containing and a composition containing calcium gluconate for preenting are provided to overcome weakness of a conventional therapeutic agent and to prevent and treat bone arthritis and rheumatic arthritis. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating arthritis contains calcium gluconate or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The arthritis is bone arthritis or rheumatic arthritis. The pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the calcium gluconate is calcium lactate gluconate. The pharmaceutical composition is used for oral administration. The dose of the pharmaceutical composition is 21.25 mg-85 mg/1kg of body weight. A supplement health food for preventing or treating arthritis contains calcium gluconate or calcium lactate gluconate.
