<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly discriminate a suspicious person from other people even if a person concealing a face has run through a monitoring space and disappeared out of an imaging range, in an image monitoring device for determining the person concealing the face in the monitoring space as the suspicious person. <P>SOLUTION: An image monitoring device 1 extracts a person area from input images obtained by an imaging portion 2, and furthermore extracts a head portion candidate area from a person area peripheral part. It is determined whether the extracted head portion candidate area is a person concealing a face or not. When the person concealing the face is detected in plural images for a predetermined number of times, he/she is determined as a suspicious person. However when the person concealing the face has moved in an important monitoring article direction and disappeared, he/she is determined as the suspicious person even if not reaching the predetermined number of times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
