<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is prevented from having a display defect due to the texture defects around the corners of a pixel electrode, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device according to the present invention comprises: a pixel region which is defined by a gate line and a data line perpendicular to and intersect with each other; a pixel electrode which is formed in the pixel region and has a part which is adjacent to one corner of the pixel region and is obliquely formed; a light shielding pattern shielding light leakage, which includes a storage line formed in parallel with the gate line and supplying a storage voltage and a storage protrusion part protruding from the storage line in parallel with the data line and formed so as to overlap with one side part of the pixel electrode; and a bridge electrode which connects the storage protrusion part and a storage line of the next stage electrically to each other and does not overlap with the pixel electrode. One side of the end of the bridge electrode forms a fringe field in parallel with one side of the pixel electrode, and one side of the end of the storage protrusion part does not overlap with the pixel electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
