FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: casing includes pressure transducer and is interconnected with separator with possibility of transmitting the fluid medium. Functional diagnostics method used for separator for separation of oil from gases penetrating into the internal combustion engine casing involves the following steps: the first output signal of pressure transducer is received in casing at the first temporary operating point or the interval; the first output signal of pressure transducer in casing is compared at least to one reference value or signal on the basis of the results of which functional diagnostics of separator are provided.
