摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of knocking, even when a closing time of an intake valve is later than a setting time of an ignition timing, in an internal combustion engine with a variable compression ratio mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: When the closing time of the intake valve controlled by a variable valve timing mechanism is earlier than the setting time of the ignition timing, the ignition timing of not generating the knocking is set at the setting time (step 105) with respect to a compression edge pressure (step 104) estimated after the closing time of the intake valve. When the closing time of the intake valve is later than the setting time and the occurrence of knocking is estimated at the ignition time that is set at the setting time with respect to the compression edge pressure (step 108) estimated after the closing time of the intake valve, a mechanical compression ratio is decreased by the variable compression ratio mechanism (step 110). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
