[Problem] To suppress unevenness of case strength in an electricity storage device having a valve and an injection section formed at a case that houses an electricity-generating element. [Solution] The electricity storage device (1) has: an electricity-generating element (20) that performs charging/discharging; and a case (10) that houses the electricity-generating element and an electrolyte. The case has an injection section (124), a cap (122), a machined section (123) and a valve (121). The injection section is used for injecting the electrolyte into the case. The cap plugs the injection section. The machined section is disposed along the contour of the injection section and the cap, and is configured by machining the wall surface of the case. The valve is provided between the injection section and the machined section and is used for discharging gas arising within the case to the outside of the case.
