<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RFID reader/writer which is not influenced by noise generated by a low-frequency device. <P>SOLUTION: An RFID reader/writer 10 comprises a transmission unit 11 for transmitting transmission signals to an RFID tag, and a reception unit 12 for receiving reception signals transmitted from the RFID tag based on the transmission signals. The transmission unit 11 transmits a carrier wave. The RFID reader/writer 10 has: a detection unit for detecting noise in the reception signals received by the reception unit 12; and a control unit 20, before starting communication with the RFID tag, on condition that the transmission unit 11 outputs the carrier wave, controlling the transmission unit and the detection unit so that the detection unit detects noise included in the reception signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
