<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure rigidity and to obtain moderate flexibility in a swing arm for a saddle-ride type vehicle having a pivot part rockably supported on a vehicle body frame, a pair of right and left arm parts extended rearward from the pivot part to journal rear wheels at a rear end, and a cross member part installed between middle parts, in a front-rear direction, of the arm parts. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of right and left plate-shaped reinforcement patches 40L, 40R joined to rear surfaces of both end parts of a cross member part 37 and to inner side surfaces of the arm parts 36L, 36R behind the cross member part 37, are provided between both end parts of the cross member part 37 and both arm parts 36L, 36R. The reinforcement patches 40L, 40R together with both end parts of the cross member part 37 and the arm parts 36L, 36R form spaces 41L, 41R opened at a top and a bottom. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
