An apparatus and a method for moving a reproduction location of VOD contents are provided to quickly perform movement from a current reproduction location to a specific location of the contents, thereby reducing waste of time required for reproduction location movement, and accordingly improving satisfaction of a user. In an apparatus for moving a reproduction location of VOD(Video On Demand) contents at a set-top box(200), the apparatus comprises a controller(205). On contents received from a VOD server(100), the controller(205) performs location movement in a section unit according to a section moving request inputted through an external input unit(206) by using section information when the contents are divided into the predetermined number of sections. The controller(205) requests the VOD server(100) to retransmit the contents from a reproduction location after the movement. |
