<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which reduces frequency of divisionally recording a variable image of recorders, which is controlled by different controller, based on variable data. <P>SOLUTION: P (fifteen) recording heads 33A, 33B are arranged in two rows and in a zigzag alignment on a recording unit 30. The P recording heads 33A, 33B are divided into N (two) groups in the sub-scanning direction (the vertical direction in Figure). The N (two) controllers respectively control the recording heads 33A, 33B belonging to a corresponding group. When it is determined that variable data VD straddles a boundary (M/S boundary line BL) between respective recording regions (a master recording region and a slave recording region) of the recording heads 33A, 33B controlled by different controllers, the linefeed width of the recording unit 30 is adjusted to the linefeed width ΔR in which all of the variable data do not straddle the M/S boundary line BL. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
