<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool preventing a cutting liquid from leaking out of a base even when the cutting liquid leaks from the joint of a member included in a base cover. <P>SOLUTION: The extension part 71a of eaves 71 is formed longer, and a connection part 72c between the extension part 71a of the eaves 71 and the end 72a of a flow path bottom plate 74 is formed above the front wall 2b of the base and inside the base 2. Thus, even when coolants leak near the center of the connection part 72c between the extension part 71a of the eaves 71 and the end 72a of the flow path bottom plate 74, the coolants drop inside the base from the front wall 2b of the base, and accordingly leakage of the coolants out of the base is prevented.
