<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, a control method thereof, and a program that are capable of reducing inventory of intermediate products, in consideration of delivery times of the intermediate products which are used in processes where a plurality of operations occur, when a production plan is planned with the information processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Intermediate products are memorized that are required in processes where a plurality of operations occur, and delivery times of intermediate products are set as start dates of operations for which the intermediate products should be available. Capacity values of devices for producing the intermediate products are also taken into consideration.
