<p>xDigital Subscriber Line office equipment and an energy-saving method thereof. The energy-saving method includes: polling the service traffic of all the ports in an activated state on the xDigital Subscriber Line office equipment, and configuring the ports with the service traffic thereof not exceeding a first predetermined threshold within a first time period into a low power consumption state. The office equipment includes: a port polling sub-device being set to poll the service traffic of all the ports in an activated state on the present equipment; and a state configuration sub-device being set to configure the ports, which are polled by the port polling sub-device and the service traffic of which does not exceed a first predetermined threshold within the first time period, into a low power consumption state. By polling the ports of the xDigital Subscriber Line office equipment in the activated state and performing a low power consumption configuration operation on the ports without any service traffic in a certain time interval, the object of reducing energy consumption is achieved.</p> |
