The assembly (1) has contact fingers (4, 5) punched out from a housing portion (3) that is made of steel sheet. One of the contact fingers is mechanically supported at the other contact finger such that a spring contact (2) is formed between the contact fingers, where spring constant of the spring contact is higher than that of the steel sheet. The latter finger is arranged parallel to the housing portion, and the former finger is bent at an angle of 180 degrees with respect to a bending edge such that the former finger is arranged partially planer with respect to the latter finger. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer housing comprising a mechanical component (2) a method for manufacturing a spring assembly.
