An activation method, device and system of an LSP are disclosed, comprising: receiving a first message from an upstream node, the first message comprising first identification information of a standby LSP; searching for a PSB corresponding to the standby LSP according to the first identification information of the standby LSP, changing a protection state of the standby LSP in the PSB from standby to active, obtaining a local cross corresponding to the standby LSP according to the PSB, and activating the local cross; if a current node is an end node, sending a second message to the upstream node after the local cross is successfully activated, the second message comprising second identification information of the standby LSP; if the current node is an intermediate node, sending the first message to a downstream node, receiving the second message from the downstream node, and sending the second message to the upstream node after the local cross is successfully activated. The embodiment of the present invention can reduce message transmission time and message processing time, thereby improving recovery performance of a service.
