PURPOSE: A debris barrier having a function for controlling the storage amount of dredged sediment, a maintenance system and method using the same are provided to rapidly inform a manager of dredging timing by measuring and analyzing the amount of dredged sediment piled up on the rear surface of the debris barrier in real-time. CONSTITUTION: A debris barrier having a function for controlling the storage amount of dredged sediment comprises a base unit(110), a screen unit(120), multiple vertical members(130), support members(140), and strain gauges(150). The screen unit is installed on the base unit. The vertical members are coupled to horizontal members(121) of the screen unit and support the screen unit. Each support member has a piston member(141) and a cylinder member(142). The piston members are coupled to the vertical members and moved inside the cylinder members. The support members inclinedly support the screen unit. The strain gauges are installed on the piston members and measure the load of dredged sediment piled up on the screen unit.
