PURPOSE: A clipping apparatus and a method thereof are provided to prevent a data structure of a triangle object from being changed by clipping process. CONSTITUTION: A distance information calculating unit(102) calculates distance information of each vertex. Each vertex configures a triangle object. A vertex transforming unit(103) transforms the vertex of the triangle object based on a symbol of distance information. A triangle resetting unit(104) resets the triangle object based on the transformed vertex.
